Regis College announces new president of the university

New England Council member Regis College has announced Robin Cautin as its 11th president, effective July 2026. Cautin succeeds Antoinette Hays, who is retiring after 15 years leading the Weston, Massachusetts institution.

Cautin joins Regis from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she served as provost, overseeing five colleges and a range of student-support initiatives. Prior to that role, she served as dean of undergraduate education at Manhattanville College in New York. She holds a doctorate and master’s degree in clinical psychology from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy from the University of Delaware.

Cautin has signaled that her initial focus will be on listening — engaging with students and community members before outlining any specific plans for the university. “Regis is well positioned to meet challenges because it’s been agile in the past,” she said.

Outgoing President Hays leaves behind a notable legacy, including launching Regis’s undergraduate nursing program, introducing the institution’s first doctoral program, and overseeing the construction of a new residence hall and quad during her tenure.

The New England Council congratulates Robin Cautin on her appointment as president of Regis College and looks forward to her leadership of the institution.
