Google partners with CVS to launch healthcare AI platform
New England Council member Google has announced a partnership with other Council member, CVS Health, to launch Health100, a free AI-powered digital health platform set to go public later this year. The platform is designed to serve as a personal health assistant, giving users continuous access to benefit information, price transparency, and proactive health guidance.
Health100 will be powered by Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure to deliver what the companies describe as “an always-on personal health care partner.” The platform is built to support the full scope of a consumer’s health needs across pharmacies, insurers, primary care providers, and telehealth services, regardless of which providers they use. User data will remain under consumer control and will not be sold.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said the platform will deliver the future of agentic, AI-powered health care “that enhances human touch and eliminates complexity.” CVS Health views the partnership as part of its previously announced $20 billion technology commitment to simplify the U.S. health care system.
The New England Council commends Google on this innovative partnership with CVS Health and looks forward to the positive impact Health100 will have on consumers navigating the health care system.
