New Balance Foundation awards Mass General Brigham $100 million for heart and vascular center construction
New England Council member, New Balance, recently announced a transformative $100 million gift to fellow member Mass General Brigham. The gift will support the construction of the west tower of the Philip and Susan Ragon Building and will be named the New Balance Foundation Tower, in honor of the philanthropic branch of the company that originated this donation.
This new construction on the MGH campus will serve as the center for heart and vascular care. It will have more than 1.5 million square feet of space upon completion. It will house the Mass General Cancer Center and the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center. Previous donations include Philip and Susan Ragon’s $200 million gift in 2019, hence the naming of the complex, as well as Herb Chambers’ $100 million gift in December 2024.

The New England Council commends New Balance for its generosity and congratulates Mass General Brigham on the construction of the new complex.
