TD Bank Opens New ATM for Dogs

New England Council Member, TD Bank, has opened a new motion-detecting dog treat ATM at its Copley Square Branch in Boston. Dog treats have been a longtime tradition for TD Bank branches, which have been welcoming ‘canine friends’ for years.

Tim Blake, Retail Market President for Greater Boston and Rhode Island, explained: “There’s really nothing more human than creating surprise moments and connecting to people’s dogs.” TD Bank plans to roll out six more of these “unexpected human interactions” across the country. In fact, the company has patented this dog version ATM.

TD Bank has worked to create a welcoming atmosphere for all of its customers. And while some might see a dog ATM as a marketing gimmick, customers have embraced it. As Blake shared, “I think a lot of our clients have found it just touching. We’ve gotten an incredibly good reception to the ATM.”

The New England Council applauds TD Bank’s community-focused spirit, and we look forward to seeing more innovative additions continue to bring joy to customers across New England.
