NEC Financial Services Committee meets with U.S. Representative Stephen Lynch in Boston

On April 24, 2023, the New England Council’s Financial Services Committee met with U.S. Representative Stephen Lynch (D-MA) in Boston, MA. Lynch is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee and serves as the chair of the Committee’s Taskforce on Financial Technology.

Following a Capitol Hill Report breakfast event, Committee members discussed a wide variety of financial services related issues with the Congressman. Among topics brought up were regulatory activity by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the current debt limit negotiations and recent troubles in the banking industry. Even with the partisan differences seen throughout Congress, the Congressman highlighted the bipartisan efforts he sees on a daily basis in the House Financial Services Committee.

We are grateful to Rep. Lynch for taking the time to meet with our members.  For more information on the Council’s Financial Services Committee, please contact Griffin Doherty.
