M&T Bank reopens branch in North Haven, invests in local school

New England Council member, M&T Bank, announced it has reopened a branch in North Haven, CT.

The bank acquired the branch following a merger with People’s United Bank last year. The new location will be staffed by five full-time employees providing in-branch teller services and features a drive-up ATM. To celebrate its grand opening, M&T Bank donated $3,000 to the nonprofit Slate School, an independent school championing accessible education for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

“We are a bank for communities, delivering the capabilities of a big bank with the care and empathy of a locally focused institution,” said David Conner, M&T Bank’s Regional Manager. “With our communities, we partner to understand the challenges they face and their opportunities for growth so we can help every town and city we serve reach its fullest potential. Opening this branch in North Haven means our customers can better help us understand their needs and aspirations so that we can provide the support, guidance, and financial solutions they need to achieve their dreams.”

The New England Council commends M&T Bank for its commitment to community service.
