Ascentria Care Alliance expands services with new Worcester headquarters

New England Council member, Ascentria Care Alliance, has officially opened its new Worcester headquarters, The Lighthouse at Ascentria, located at 18 Chestnut Street.  The new space marked the milestone with a grand opening celebration joined by civic leaders. The 24,615-square-foot facility, which opened on October 1, is designed to host collaborations where individuals and families can access Ascentria programs and partner services under one roof.

Ascentria’s team describes the new space to embody “a beacon of hope, a safe harbor, and a guiding light.” Ascentria strives to channel creativity and is excited to treat its new space as a ‘blank canvas’ for its clients. The new headquarters consolidates critical supports, including workforce development, ESOL and adult education, immigration legal assistance, foster care, mental health services, and programs serving adults with disabilities.

April Kelly, Chief of Staff and VP of Real Estate, highlighted the significance of the relocation: “This is more than a new address—it’s a strategic investment in the community,” Ascentria values networking and “the new space allows us to increase direct services, deepen partnerships, and operate more sustainably.”Angela Bovill, President and CEO, stated “For more than 150 years, Ascentria has stood beside people in times of need, and this space allows us to do that together in new and transformative ways.” The new headquarters is supported in part by Ascentria’s “Building a Future of Impact” campaign, which successfully raised $950,000 to help fund the move.

The New England Council congratulates Ascentria Care Alliance on this milestone expansion.
