Global Partners supports families impacted by SNAP benefit cuts

New England Council member, Global Partners, stepped up during the recent government shutdown. As many families across the country, including in New England, faced financial challenges due to federal cuts to SNAP benefits, Global Partners implemented an initiative to provide economic and in-store support to local food bank partners.

Global Partners planned to contribute almost $90,000, with $58,000 in direct donations and $29,400 in gift card donations to be distributed by food bank partners. They have partnered with nearly 30 food bank partners across New England, New York, Texas, and Virginia.

“With this program, we’re leveraging our network of retail sites to make a meaningful, immediate difference for families in need. This program not only helps our neighbors but also strengthens the bonds between our employees, our customers and guests, and our communities,” said Dylan Robinson, Corporate Citizenship Manager at Global Partners.

The New England Council commends Global Partners for their commitment to supporting the communities they are a part of.
