Sacred Heart University (SHU) and WSHU Public Radio are entering their fifth year of a partnership dedicated to expanding local news coverage in cooperation with the School of Communication, Media and the Arts by providing Graduate Assistant positions to students in the Journalism and Media Production program. Students get real-world experience and are trained to become the next generation of on-air reporters and producers for public radio. Since its inception, the program has thus far had a one hundred percent success rate in job placement.
