Superintendent of Schools Certification Program
Sacred Heart University
In partnership with CAPSS, the Farrington College of Education offers a one-year program leading to the superintendent of school’s endorsement for public school leaders. CAPSS is a professional organization dedicated to serving the needs of superintendents of schools and has been a partner in this program since its inception. CAPSS members helped to design the program, teach as adjunct professors in the program, and serve as mentor superintendents to our candidates. More than fifty candidates, including approximately 15 of color, have graduated from the program; three are currently serving as superintendents of schools in Connecticut.
