Waters Corporation acquires specialized imaging technology from Halo Labs

Waters Corp.

New England Council member, Waters Corporation, announced that it has acquired Halo Labs. Halo Labs develops specialized imaging technology to detect and identify interference particles in therapeutic products, including cell and gene therapies. By acquiring Halo Labs, Waters Corp. will be able to integrate state-of-the-art technology into its ongoing large molecule development, enabling the firm to accelerate its growth in the market for analytical and bioprocessing testing.

“Adding the innovative low-sample-volume, high-throughput technology from Halo Labs provides analysis for a broad range of sample types and volumes, enabling earlier insights during therapy development and greater safety during manufacturing. . .This acquisition enhances our leadership position in specialized analytical technologies for emerging biopharma therapies,” said Udit Batra, President and CEO of Waters.

The New England Council commends Waters Corp. for its revolutionary research into ensuring the efficacy of therapeutic products.
