New England Council member, University of Massachusetts’ UMass Chan and UMass Memorial Health have been named two of the best places to work in Massachusetts. In a recent statement, the University announced that Forbes and Statista Inc. ranked UMass Chan No. 43 and UMass Memorial Health No. 29.

Forbes gathers independent survey data from 70,000 American working for large companies around the US. During this 2022 survey collection, 1,380 employer brands were included across 25 industry sectors. Employees ranked their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. They were also asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries for both positive and negative qualities.

In a statement, UMass Chan said, “UMass Chan is perennially ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best medical schools in the nation for primary care education and attracts more than $300 million in biomedical research funding annually.”

The New England Council congratulates UMass Chan and UMass Memorial Health for this wonderful accomplishment.
