The University of Southern Maine Foundation names new President and CEO

USM Foundation

New England Council member, The University of Southern Maine Foundation has named Corey Hascall as its new President and CEO. Her leadership comes at an essential time for the Foundation, where they plan to expand USM’s record-breaking support for scholarships, innovative programs, and campus development.

Being a USM graduate herself and having served five years as Vice President, Hascall was instrumental in the Foundation’s various philanthropic milestones, including launching the McGoldrick Center for Career & Student Success and building strong connections with the Maine Community. She also brings over two decades of professional experience in political strategy, fundraising, and communications, having directed state and federal campaigns and worked in community relations.

“I’m honored to lead during such a pivotal moment at my alma mater,” said Hascall. “USM is thriving—from the groundbreaking Promise Scholars program to the new Crewe Center for the Arts opening in 2025. Together, we’re creating incredible opportunities for our students and Maine’s future.”

The New England Council congratulates the USM Foundation and President/CEO Hascall on this exciting news.
