TD Bank grants $175K to affordable housing cause

New England Council member, TD Bank, donated $175,000 to Pawtucket Central Falls Development Corporation.

The donation provided by TD Bank was part of a $7 million package with the goal of supporting businesses that work towards implementing more affordable housing options in the United States. These organizations include 37 nonprofits in the United States, each with goals aligning with emergency rental assistance, rehab affordable rental housing and addressing resident sustainability for the long term.

“The affordable housing crisis continues to burden the most vulnerable members of our communities and the organizations committed to supporting them,” said Paige Carlson-Heim, director of the TD Charitable Foundation. “At TD, we’re committed to doing our part to help create a more sustainable and inclusive future for everyone, and that includes providing access to safe, affordable homes.”

The New England Council commends TD Bank for its commitment to increasing affordable housing in the United States.
