Stonehill College announces Bachelor of Science Nursing Program
On December 1, New England Council member, Stonehill College, established its first-ever Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Applications for this program are now open, and classes will begin in the 2026-27 academic semester.
The BSN Program is a main initiative of Stonehill 2023: Building Together, the college’s new five-year plan, is focused on developing leadership programs for students. The program includes both classroom instruction, clinical, and simulation-based experiences. Stonehill College’s press release stated that the program has developed alongside the intention of addressing critical workforce needs. “Guided by Stonehill’s philosophy of educating the whole person, we will cultivate nursing leaders who rely on both integrity and reason to help advance the field,” said Susan Taylor, who will serve as the interim dean of nursing.
“This degree will enhance the future of healthcare by preparing skilled nurses whose practice is rooted in a desire to serve the common good. I look forward to welcoming our first cohort to campus next fall, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to thrive as compassionate caregivers,” said the President of Stonehill College.
The New England Council congratulates Stonehill College on its new BSN program and applauds its commitment to preparing future nursing leaders.
