NEC member Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) recently announced that the college will open a location in Southbridge Middle High School. The new location will allow more access to QCC’s Early College Program for high school students.

The new location aims to increase accessibility to QCC courses for the southern portion of Worcester County, allowing parents to also take advantage of QCC courses and workforce development programs. The majority of QCC’s courses at both campuses will be taught online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Being closer to the communities we serve allows for a broader footprint in the region as a whole, and a more comprehensive approach to program development. Southbridge High School is a recognized and central location in the South County area,” QCC President Luis Pedraja said in a statement.

The New England Council congratulates Quinsigamond Community College on this expansion and for increasing access to educational opportunities. Read more from the Worcester Business Journal.
