New England Council members to speak at Climate Resilience Webinar next week

Next Tuesday, New England Council members Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), The MITRE Corporation (MITRE), and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) will take part in a virtual discussion hosted by the Massachusetts High Tech Council (MHTC). During this Zoom event, titled “MassVision2050: Blue Tech & Climate Resilience,” participants will discuss how Massachusetts can build a climate-resilient future and examine ways for the state to pioneer climate solutions.

Blue Tech & Climate Resilience is part of MHTC’s new initiative, MassVision2050 (Mass2050). Mass2050 serves to “position MA at the forefront of the global dialogue on new technologies & their societal impact.” With this initiative, MHTC aims to “generate bold ideas for MA’s future by examining key trends in tech & determining their global & local implications.” In doing so, MHTC can “develop strategies that prepare the state for the opportunities & challenges of tomorrow.”

At this virtual event, attendees can learn about the Ocean & Climate Innovation Accelerator (OCIA) that ADI and WHOI have been working on, and will hear from leaders at MITRE’s BlueTech Lab, a maritime test facility that “enables the regional BlueTech innovation community to rapidly prototype new technology quickly & safely.”

The New England Council commends Analog, MITRE, and WHOI for their participation in this webinar and their efforts to combat the climate crisis.

To attend this virtual event, register here. The event will take place on April 12, from 2:00—3:00 p.m. EST.
