“Leading in a Crisis: Travel” Highlights Travel Safety Measures

On September 3, 2020, The New England Council presented the latest installment of our popular “Leading in a Crisis” virtual event series. “Leading in a Crisis: Travel” featured leaders from the aviation and hospitality industries, who discussed the impact of the COVID-19 public health crisis on the travel industry and highlighted the steps that are being taken to safeguard travelers’ health and safety amid the pandemic. Our panelists were:

  • Joanna Geraghty, President & Chief Operating Officer, JetBlue Airways
  • Burnell Goldman, General Manager, Omni Providence Hotel
  • Lisa Wieland, Chief Executive Officer, Massachusetts Port Authority

This virtual event is the seventh in a series of “Leading in a Crisis” discussions, each of which highlights how different businesses and organizations across various industries in New England are leading and innovating in response to the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis. The series was launched in May 2020, and past forums have featured leaders from the life sciences, healthcare, energy, banking, and higher education sectors. Visit the Virtual Events page for more information on this series.
