East Boston Neighborhood Health Center CEO Named Health Care Star

Manny Lopes, President and CEO of NEC member the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center has been named a Massachusetts Health Council 2020 Health Care Star.

The award honors members of the Massachusetts health community for their work and dedication to improving health and safety in Massachusetts, as well as exemplifying vital leadership skills. Lopes has dedicated his career to providing increased access to care for underserved and vulnerable patient populations. His focus has often been on improving health outcomes for communities that are disproportionately burdened with negative social determinants of health.

Lopes will be honored alongside leaders from additional NEC members, including Thomas Croswell, President & CEO, Tufts Health Plan, Sandra Cotterell, CEO, Codman Community Health Center, and The Boston Red Sox.
