Comcast rolls out new strategies to sustain customers

New England Council member, Comcast, is rolling out new techniques to maintain internet customers. In an age of streaming and constantly changing internet usage, Comcast is looking for ways to innovate beyond cable.

For a long time, the solution to the overall decrease in cable was broadband internet use. But that is now also experiencing a decline due to more competition from fixed wireless. Hence the need for new strategies to maintain and retain customers. This includes a national pricing structure, five year price guarantees, a free mobile line for a year, and unlimited data packages for mobile customers.

“Our goal for all the actions we’ve taken is to build a loyal customer base that churns less and values our services more,” said Mike Cavanagh, President of Comcast. “Customers are responding to the simplicity and power of these changes, with roughly half of our eligible new customer connects choosing our five-year price guarantee this quarter.”

The New England Council commends Comcast for its continued dedication in the technology sector.
