Celebrating Champions of Individuals with disabilities.
Our member, WORK Inc., a leading provider of services and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, was proudly recognized Minority Whip Congresswoman Katherine Clark with the AbilityOne Champion Award. The award honors federal lawmakers who demonstrate exceptional advocacy for the disability community and advance the mission of the AbilityOne Program, one of the nation’s largest sources of employment for people who are blind or have significant disabilities.
Andrea Cook, Vice President of Communications, and Sharon Smith, Chief Executive Officer at WORK Inc., presented the award to Congresswoman Clark, highlighting her steadfast support for expanding meaningful employment pathways and her ongoing advocacy for inclusive federal contracting practices.
“Congresswoman Clark has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to ensuring individuals with disabilities have access to opportunity, dignity, and economic independence,” said Cook. “Her leadership strengthens the entire AbilityOne network and directly impacts the thousands of Americans who rely on this program for employment.”
The presentation included participation from a key partners within the AbilityOne community, SourceAmerica representatives Rick Terrazas and Jeffrey Kaloc.
