NEC member AVANGRID has been recognized as one of Forbes annual Best-In-State Employers 2020. AVANGRID, a Connecticut-based renewable energy company, employs 1,700 Connecticut residents.

Forbes found the selection of this years’ Best-In-State employers through a survey of approximately 80,000 people working for companies employing at least 500 people in their US operations. The survey assessed the different businesses based on atmosphere & development, company image, working conditions, salaries & wages, and diversity. For over 100 years, AVANGRID has served hundreds of thousands of Connecticut customers through its three utility companies.

“Our employees provide the energy and innovation that drive AVANGRID forward,” said AVANGRID CEO Dennis Arriola. “At AVANGRID, we work together to deliver a more accessible clean energy model for our customers that promotes healthier, more sustainable communities every day. We’re proud to be recognized as one of Connecticut’s best employers.”

The New England Council applauds AVANGRID for this prestigious award. Read more from the AVANGRID press release.
