New England Council Fellows Program

The New England Council Fellows Program was launched in 2025 to commemorate the Council’s 100th anniversary. In its pilot year, the Council has selected a total of six non-profit organizations – one in each state – and will provide these organizations with $5,000 each to support the hiring of a summer intern to support their charitable mission. The goals of the program are twofold: to support worthy organizations with missions to provide important services in the region, and to help provide young adults with valuable work experience to prepare them for future career success.

On April 14, 2025, the Council announced that the Fellowship Advisory Committee, comprised of 15 members of the Council’s Board of Directors, has selected the following organizations to host NEC Fellows during the summer of 2025:

  • Connecticut: Connecticut Foodshare
  • Maine: Dempsey Centers for Quality Cancer Care
  • Massachusetts: St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children
  • New Hampshire: United South End Settlements’ Camp Hale
  • Rhode Island: Pawtucket Central Falls Development
  • Vermont: US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants
