Boston Children’s Names New CEO

NEC member Boston Children’s Hospital has named Kevin Churchwell to succeed Sandra Fenwick at the Chief Executive Officer of the nationally ranked hospital. The Board of Trustees unanimously approved Churchwell’s promotion and he will assume his new position on March 31, 2021– Fenwick’s last day as CEO.
Churchwell has served as President of the hospital since 2018 and served as Chief Operating Officer since 2013. Previously, Churchwell served as CEO of Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, and CEO and Executive Director of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, in Nashville, TN.
“Kevin is the type of leader that flourishes at Boston Children’s,” Fenwick said in a statement. “His innovative thinking, solid business acumen and superb clinical and academic leadership will be an excellent addition to our team.”
