NEC member Berkshire Bank has named Kate Hersey as its new regional president.  Hersey most recently served as chief investment officer and wealth manager, and replaced Malia Lazu, who left the company last month.

Berkshire announced the decision alongside its promising third-quarter earnings. With Hersey assuming the new regional president position, Berkshire is further promoting female leadership in the Boston banking industry. Berkshire Bank has stated that half of its regional presidents are women.

The New England Council congratulates Kate Hersey for her new role as Berkshire Bank’s Boston-area regional president. Read more here.
