Stonehill College appoints John Duggan as new dean of business school
New England Council member, Stonehill College recently announced that John Duggan had been appointed as the new dean of the Leo J. Meehan School of Business. He will continue to supervise several business programs, such as accounting, economics, finance, and management, along with new majors in business analytics and talent and human resource management.
Duggan has been working at Stonehill since 2014 and has held various positions there, including teaching fellow business assistant professor, chair of the Department of Business Administration, and Vice President of the Faculty Senate. He was also largely involved in the collaborative effort to reaccredit the college with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Duggan holds a B.A. in political science and philosophy from Assumption College and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law.
“I offer my sincere thanks to President Denning, Dr. Ubertaccio, and the search committee for choosing me to serve in this capacity,” said Duggan in a press release. “Stonehill College is a special community filled with dedicated world-class faculty and passionate students. I am excited to continue to build on successes of the past and meet the future needs of students, faculty, and industries as we all work to create a more just and compassionate world.”
