Tripadvisor grows headcount by 15%

New England Council member, Tripadvisor, experienced a 15% employee number growth from the end of 2021 to the end of 2022. TripAdvisor is continuing to hire in the Boston area, and around the world.

Approximately 35% of Tripadvisor’s current workers, or about 1,080 people, are based in the United States. The company has remained untouched so far by the large wave of layoffs that hit the technology sector in recent months.

Tripadvisor’s CEO, Matt Goldberg, commented on how generative AI could be potentially trained on Tripadvisor’s reviews to answer questions for travelers and said, “people in travel want real recommendations, not just bot recommendations.”

The New England Council congratulates Tripadvisor for its growth and expansion.
