Nichols expands new robotic process automation center

New England Council member, Nichols College, is expanding its Center for Intelligent Process Automation with a new research fellowship program. This expansion is in partnership with an Israel-based tech firm NICE.

Center for Intelligent Process Automation is a student-run program created in December to offer robotic process automation training and implementation to the business sector. Fellows in the new program will work with existing faculty to contribute to research on issues related to RPA, such as citizen development, which is the process of involving non-IT employees with software development.

The first two fellows, Kieran Gilmurray and Tyler Krimmel, have been chosen for this semester.  Gilmurray hails from Belfast, Ireland and works as an enterprise automation lead at Boston-based cybersecurity firm Rapid7. Krimmel is a professor at George Brown College in Toronto and previously supported the CIPA team in establishing a baseline approach to RPA initiatives in business.

The New England Council would like to commend Nichols college on the expansion of their new robotic process automation center.
