Griffin Doherty
Griffin Doherty is a Director of Federal Affairs at The New England Council. Based in the Council’s Boston, MA, office, Griffin works primarily with the Council’s Financial Services Committee on advocacy, initiatives, events, and other projects. He also leads the Council’s ongoing work on tax policy.
Griffin joined the Council in October 2017. He previously served as a Senior Associate in the Washington, D.C. office of The Marwood Group, a New York City-based advisory and consulting firm that focuses primarily on healthcare policy. He also previously served as a Federal and State Policy Analyst at the Massachusetts Office of Medicaid in Boston. Griffin also brings to the Council six years of experience on Capitol Hill, where he served on the staffs of the late U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).
A native of Norwell, MA, Griffin is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and holds a M.A. in Government from Johns Hopkins University. He currently resides in Quincy, MA.
