NCAA’s Baker leaves open return to politics

NCAA President Charlie Baker was the governor of Massachusetts from 2015 to 2023.

Via Sports Business Journal

NCAA President Charlie Baker “left the possibility open” he would reboot his political career. The two-term former governor of Massachusetts chose not to run for a third term, and at the time said that he “did not seek out the NCAA top job” and was “instead approached about the opening.” Baker “struck the same tone Thursday” at the UMass Club in Boston when asked about resuming his political career. Baker: “We live in really challenging times, and it’s important [for] really good people to step up” (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/10).
