Pease Development Authority Powers 26,000 Jobs and $2.7 Billion in Business Revenue, New Study Finds
New England Council member Pease Development Authority (PDA) has recently been the subject of a new economic impact study finding that activity across its three primary business units supported more than 26,000 jobs and $2.7 billion in business revenue in 2025. The report, conducted by Martin Associates, examines the contributions of Pease International Tradeport, Portsmouth International Airport, and Pease Golf Course to the local and regional economy of the New England region.
The study found that PDA’s operations supported 15,598 direct jobs with an average salary of $79,150, along with additional employment supported through employee spending and business purchases. Altogether, the three business units supported $330.2 million in local purchases and $231.7 million in state and local tax revenue, including approximately $139.7 million in New Hampshire.
Originally established in 1991 to guide the redevelopment of the former Pease Air Force Base, PDA now oversees a Tradeport that is home to more than 250 companies across industries including biotechnology, manufacturing, healthcare, and professional services.
The New England Council commends the Pease Development Authority for its continued contributions to supporting businesses, employment, and economic development throughout New Hampshire and the region.
