Membership Benefits

Membership in the New England Council makes you part of the nation’s oldest regional business group and one whose membership is as broad and diverse as New England itself. From small offices to some of the region’s and nation’s largest businesses, the Council’s membership truly reflects the spirit and the economy of New England. And along with your membership come significant benefits, including:

  • the ability to attend virtually all Council programs and events at no charge, and to send or bring others from your firm with you;
  • an invitation to our Annual Washington meeting which includes a briefing at the White House, a Reception for the region’s Congressional Delegation, and a breakfast featuring remarks by two members of Congress;
  • invitations to Congressional Roundtables during which Council members have the opportunity to meet in small group settings with members of the New England Congressional Delegation. While many of these programs take place over breakfast in the region, a number each year take place as luncheons on Capitol Hill. Still others are informal dinner-meetings held throughout the region;
  • invitations to the highly popular “Politics and Eggs” series that brings together members of the business community and candidates for President of the United States in the months leading up to the New Hampshire Primary;
  • participation in one or more of our Policy Committees, during which members develop positions for consideration by the Board of Directors on issues of most importance to the region’s economy;
  • sponsorship opportunities for programs and speakers of particular interest to your firm or institution; and
  • a bi-weekly “Washington Report” which summarizes the major developments taking place on Capitol Hill affecting issues of importance to Council members. You will also receive a quarterly newsletter that looks in-depth at issues and people having a profound impact on the New England economy.

In short, there are numerous opportunities and ways to interact with members of the region’s congressional delegation, senior Administration officials, and members of the New England business community through participation in the New England Council.
