These committees include members who work in these sectors who meet regularly to identify issues of mutual concern and to develop policy positions and recommendations. The Council works to articulate these positions to policymakers in Washington and to serve as a resource for members of Congress as they tackle issues of importance to Council members.
The committees also regularly host speakers, such as Congressional staffers and other experts on issues before the committee. In addition, the committees offer excellent opportunities for members to network with other professionals in their industry.
Beyond these six key policy areas, the Council also works on a variety of issues that affect a broad range of sectors of our economy and the ability of New England’s businesses to compete nationally and globally, such as tax policy and international trade.
