LARRY ZABARLarry Zabar is the Council's Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. He joined the Council staff in 1989 following 11 years working on Capitol Hill. Larry's responsibilities include membership, the Annual Dinner, programs run by the Council throughout the region, and special programs such as Politics and Eggs, Team New England activities, the Creative Economy Initiative, the Council's Manufacturing Initiative, Children's Health Initiative, the Older Workers Project, and the Marine Economy Program. Larry also has responsibility for a number of contracts and grants that support Council initiatives, as well as overseeing the activities of the Council's Technology Committee. Larry is active on a number of Boards including the national Board of Room to Grow as well as its Boston Board, which he chairs. He serves as a Commissioner of the Essex National Heritage Commission; Director of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce; a Director of the Freedom Trail Foundation; a Director of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, and a Director of Equal Justice America. Larry and his wife Hope live in Swampscott, Massachusetts. |
