MICHELE JALBERTMichele Jalbert is joining the New England Council as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. She brings over two decades of business experience, primarily in large corporations but also as a small business owner. In addition to corporate public affairs experience, she has worked for Massachusetts Congressman Bill Delahunt, handling a wide range of issues as legislative director and manager of his Washington, DC office since January, 2003. At the New England Council, she will be responsible for facilitating the development of consensus policy recommendations among the Council members. Michele will work out of both the Washington and Boston offices. In addition to her Capitol Hill experience, Michele also managed communications, human resources and employee relations departments for international companies such as Liberty Mutual and Polaroid Corporation. In 2000, she founded Effective Organizations, a network of professionals offering strategic consulting in human resources, communication and employment law issues. In her consulting practice, Michele worked with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to create great organizational focus, accountability and capacity. Michele is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, received her J. D. from Suffolk University Law School and is a trained mediator. She graduated from Bates College in Maine and completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg Management Institute program. An army brat, Michele was born in New York and moved throughout the country growing up. Currently, she resides in Little Compton, RI and Washington, DC. |
