KEVIN CONROY

Kevin Conroy is the Chief of Staff and General Counsel at The New England Council and has been with the Council since March 2005.
 
Prior to the Council, Kevin was with the Boston law firm Foley Hoag LLP where he was an associate in the firm's Government Strategies Group.  Mr. Conroy handled state government affairs matters for a number of large clients in the bio-tech and transportation fields.

During 2004, Kevin took a leave from Foley Hoag and worked as the Deputy Director of Political Affairs at the Democratic National Convention Committee in Boston and for the John Kerry Campaign in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

Mr. Conroy graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1999 where he served as a staff writer for the Boston College Law Review and received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1994.  Prior to law school, Kevin served as a legislative aide for Massachusetts State Senator Warren Tolman.

Mr. Conroy was appointed to the Boston Bar Association Legislative Advisory Committee in 2005 and was elected to the Tufts University Alumni Council in 2006.

Kevin and his wife, Maria, live in Newton, Massachusetts.  Their first child, Caitlin, was born in December 2004.
